Mt. Fern
was the family farm where my mother grew up. It was in Randolph Township, on the hill above Dover, N.J. .
In the present day Rt. 10 and the County College of Morris lie on the "back forty" and tract houses sit where the barn used to be. But in those days there were still cows to be kept out of the corn, horses hauled in the hay and everybody knew your name.
