This picture was taken from a negative of Jane Spargo's. She took the picture when she was in England c. 1930. It is the home of Stephen Spargo. He built both the house and stone wall in Cornwall, England

Stephen SPARGO, born in 1791 in Constantine?, Cornwall, England; married Elizabeth RICHARDS on Jan 3 1814; died in 1869 in England. Elizabeth RICHARDS: born in 1793; died in 1870.

Their son, John Raymond Spargo, was my immigrant ancestor, coming to the United States in 1849 and settling near Dover, New Jersey where he worked the mines, later buying the farm that was known as Mt. Fern.
